Have you ever stumbled on a passion not only on accident, but in a panic? My journey, what led to Sator Computer Services, began with childhood mishaps.
They held both fascination in the form of games and fun reference material aimed at children, as well as frustration getting things to run. Whenever a problem arose, my brother was the go-to person, but when he moved off to college he was available only by way of an expensive, long-distance phonecall.
I had, by that point, learned just enough observing him to make me a liability. With a less-than-impressive track record already, I found myself in the position of having moved some fairly important operating-system files to some mysterious corner of the hard-drive. Anticipating a frustrated voice on the other end of the line, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
With determination, curiosity, and a fair degree of fear on my side (my mother would be home shortly, and I wasn’t even meant to be using the computer), I tracked down the files, put them back in place, shut down the computer and went back upstairs with a newfound confidence.
My knowledge of and confidence in computer systems has expanded widely in the years since, and since 2007 I’ve been working in technical support, providing repairs and solutions to business and personal clients alike. Through trial and error, wide-eyed exploration, and in seeking tools for my own outside ventures, I’ve come to have broad expertise deciphering the arcana and complexities layered just beneath the surface of the hardware and software you and I use every day.
I’ve found that it’s the unexpected twists in the paths of learning and development that tend to set us apart from the crowd. From panic to passion, I want to serve the customer, quell their uneasiness, and leave them in a better position in the end to do their own work. Get in touch so that we at SATOR can help you out!
